Hello Everyone,
Hope you all doing good. I am having some issues with service mapping. I have created a service map in which two entry points are defined. My service map should discover 7 CI's but currently it is mapping only two CI's in service map. Rest 5 CI's has already discoverd by disovery and present in cmdb. My question is that the remaining discover CI's are discovered by disocvery pattern by Windows OS Server pattern. And If I wanted those should be map in service map how should those gets map? And If I need to create a pattern for the same then what should be the CI type?
Thank you!

Hi @Simran6 ,
I trust you are doing great.
To include these remaining discovered CIs in the service map, you will need to create a pattern. Specifically, since these CIs have been discovered by the Windows OS Server pattern, you should create a pattern for Windows OS Server CI type.
Here's an example of how you can create a pattern in ServiceNow to map the remaining CIs in the service map:
- Log in to your ServiceNow instance.
- Go to the Service Mapping application.
- Navigate to the Patterns module.
- Click on "New" to create a new pattern.
- Fill in the required information, such as pattern name and description.
- In the "Probe Selector" field, select the appropriate Windows OS Server probe that matches the discovery pattern used to discover the remaining CIs.
- Specify any additional conditions or filters if needed.
- Save the pattern.

Hello @Amit Gujarathi,
Thank you for response. The OOB windows OS server pattern is already exist with type as infrastructure. And as one window pattern is already present it is not allowing me to create new pattern with same CI class. Should I deactivate the existing OOB pattern and try to create new with same CI class?
Please suggest your answer.
Thank you for help and time. Really appreciate.
