Service Now developer instances are hibernating

Hi ServiceNow Team,

We have our developer instances which goes to hibernation very often. We are having catalog items created which are required in our internally developed solution which we are integrating with Service Now for automation. Service Now developer instance is required for us and we have developed a power automate flow to create a ticket everyday, still we have noticed that instances do hibernate. How can we stop the instances from hibernating? Also we want to backup the data in the instance. How can we do that?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @iwssit

Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Backup and restore you PDI data using GITHUB

FYI, earlier Backup and restore feature was available for PDI's which is disccontinued since 15 DEC 2022
