Service Operations Workspace - 403 Permissions issue on accessing Shift Schedule.

I have a team where we are attempting to utilize the Service Operations Workspace for the Team Calendar where users/agents can request time-off (after viewing team calendar) or request shift swap.   Users have itil, sn_shift_planning.user and sn_shift_planning.agent as part of their roles.   However, when accessing Service Operations Workspace - they are getting the 403: You do not have permissions to access this page when selecting "View shift schedule"

• Users are a part of the Schedule
• Users are part of the Assignment workgroup

What am I missing?

We have the  same issue - but don't get a 403 - just they can't see their schedule or view it.  if they are given the sn_shift_planning.admin role, they can (we tried that in test instance)... something seems to be wrong with the role.  I was told to open a ticket, but we are in the middle of an upgrade to Washington so we will wait until that rolls out.. because the issue seems to be in Washington also.
