Service Portal - eCommerce with Payment Gateway

Hi all,

I've seen some old (unanswered) threads on this topic, but wanted to raise something new and a bit more specific/to the point.

I'm currently researching options for building a complete eCommerce portal experience in ServiceNow, using Service Portal. Think any typical storefront website such as Amazon etc.

So, ServiceNow has the Catalog Items, Cart, Pricing, etc all covered. It just seems to be the payment area that's a little bit uncertain.

Has anyone previously researched options for Payment Gateways that can be integrated with ServiceNow? It seems like PayPal would be the most obvious way to go, but has anyone ever actually DONE this integration in Service Portal? If so, I'd love to hear from you.

Are there alternatives to PayPal? Other gateway services (accepting VISA, Mastercard, etc) that are known to be "compatible" with Service Portal?

Any thoughts/feelings welcome 🙂

We've had the discussion of payments integrating with the Service Catalog several times with clients. No one has actually had us implement it yet, but would be relatively easy to do.

I would recommend using Stripe as they have an extremely powerful API and the whole payment flow would stay within Service Portal with no need to transfer to an external site for authentication.

Although it would be awesome, I have not seen a big use-case where organizations would be charging their employees, but maybe with CSM this would be more relevant.

I'm also interested in finding out what progress you have made in this space. We're looking to implement online payments in a CSM portal but can't find much information on integration.
