Hello,
I'm curious to see if anyone has integrated with either AD or Azure to reset passwords. We are a hybrid environment and according to ServiceNow, the Azure AD spoke won't work for us so we are trying the AD v2 spoke using the reset pw action.
What's happening with setting this up and testing is that the execution shows 'Success' and we can see in AD that the password was reset, however, the new password nor the old password won't work. It's like it's resetting the password but not setting it to what we set it to in SN. We can change the pw to 'Apple123' in AD, then reset the pw in SN and change it to 'IloveApples2', but then when logging in neither password work.
It's doing the same behavior for the Azure AD spoke using the reset pw action. I have an open ticket with SN about it but figured I'll see if anyone was successful in these spokes. Thanks

Hello,
Were you able to get the password reset to work in your hybrid Microsoft environment? We are studying the implementation currently and we are a little lost with all the different spokes.
THANKS

Hi,
Yes, we eventually got it to work. I used the AD Spoke for Password Reset and then we copied and modified the Reset PW subflow. Within it, we added the Lookup User action to grab the user name however we found that in our case, we needed it to be the email address and it would fail. So I copied that action and worked with our Windows/Powershell sysadmins to modify the script that it's using.
I can provide screenshots if needed.
