ServiceNow / Apache Kafka integration

I'm looking to integration ServiceNow -> Apache Kafka -> Azure Event Hub.  I've installed the ServiceNow Kafka Consumer plugin and my co-worker setup an endpoint using the information here.

 

Has anyone done this integration?  I'm confused on the Confluent Kafka REST Proxy.  How is that installed/configured?  It must be configured because per these instructions, ServiceNow needs authentication configured to log into the REST Proxy.  

 

Any assistance would be helpful.

We decided to not do the Azure Event Hubs part.  My internal team is sending it to Hermes and then ServiceNow is consuming the message.  Seems to be working pretty good.

 

We had some issues with Hermes not being stable but ServiceNow Support was able to fix it on their end.
