Hi Friends,

I was planning to learn Jelly as UI pages are created with Jelly Scripts. But Jelly is not supported by ServiceNow now. So should i learn Angular JS instead of Jelly OR shall i learn only Jelly OR shall i learn both?? I am a bit confused. Please advise.

Regards

Ramandeep

Hi Ramandeep,

Absolutely not. HTML and JAVA scripting is enough requirement to start angular JS.

Hi all,

thanks for the great answers. I know HTML and Java Script. So my question is if i don't learn Jelly script and start learning Angular JS then will it trouble me to learn Angular? OR if both languages are totally different and it will not have any effect?

Ramandeep

Comparing Jelly and Angular is like comparing Apples vs Oranges. They are used for entirely different purpose.

Just to add on Angular learning, CodeAcademy would give you a basic understanding of AngularJs (There are newer version of Angular but from what I heard they are not supported).

I did the CodeAcademy and CodeSchool course last week and I would say both were good enough. For advanced stuff, refer the official angular tutorial.

PS: I am Angular novice and not a expert on this topic.
