snc_external users cannot access Portal Record Producer

Hi,

I've created a Record Producer, visible only to those with the sn_customerservice.customer role (on the CSM-portal), which is inherited from the snc_external role. None of the Account Contact have the snc_internal role, as they are all external customers.

Problem is, that without the role snc_internal, none of the Contacts can open the RP to fill in the fields. All can access the CSM-Portal itself, and they see the icons for "Report an isue" and "Ask a Question", but when clicking either, a blank page opens up. The URL indicates that they are on the right place

I've not put anything in the "Write roles" field on each variable, as I thought that was inherited from the Role-setting on the RP itself. And even if I put sn_customerservice.customer in the "write_role" field of a variable, it did nothing to show the variable in the RP from the Portal side

what page is it linking to in the portal. the sc_cat_item page that is normally used in the portal is for internal user. if it was using that, try having the widget direct the the csm_get_help page when loading the RP.

Available for user criteria is there for snc_external role. 

Kindly let me know any restriction is there from ui builder side.
