Software Usage in Tanium -- Last Usage with Service Graph Connector Tanium (SG-Tanium)

Hello All,

I am currently working on the integration to bring all computers using SG-Tanium into our system, and we are successfully capturing all the computers.

We have a requirement to get the software usage details (specifically the last used date) into the software installation table.

As per the documentation followed:

Tanium Service Graph Connector - ServiceNow Community

For all product executable records in the SG-Tanium Usage Staging Table, the process checks the Reclamation Rules ([samp_sw_reclamation_rule] Table) for Last Used Date Reclamation Rules. For each product record where a Last Used Reclamation Rule is found, it populates the Software Usage ([samp_sw_usage] Table) with the Last Used Date Usage data for that product.

To confirm: Do we have to add all the products on reclamation rule every time we have to track the software usage  for any application ? We have enabled the tracking from Tanium side.

As per data source -SG-Tanium -Usage, we are getting all the records and last usage details in Software Usage table.

How can get the last Used in Software Installation Table. Please Help me on this regard.

Do we need to create a reclamation rule for each and every software or is there a way to set a standard rule for Tanium SG graph to check and populate the last used date for all the software installs ? Kindly assist

@DineshkumaS   You have to create a reclamation rule for Software product. Although by default, Tanium populate last usage for the software product for some software product.

Tanium do not populate the last usage date on the software install. It populates on the software usage table.

Also, you need to connect with Tanium team in order to enable the software usage for the software product.
