Story short description overwritten by requirement record

I am experimenting with various features of SN Agile features.  Operating in a Yokohama PDI with Agile plugins installed.

I created a story and saved it.

After reloading this rm_story record, I configured the form to show related list Requirements->Agile Story.  The related list became visible.  Clicking "New" the requirement form appeared.  I filled in various fields including  a short description (SD) on this requirement record and submitted the form.  At this point I was returned to the story.  This was all expected.

On examination of the rm_story record, however, I discovered that the story SD was overwritten by the SD provided by the requirement.   I added another requirement and the same thing happened.  Is the underlying assumption that each story will only have one requirement.    You would not really need a related list in that case.

I have discovered there is a business rule on the task table that does synch the SDs for these two records [Sync short description to agile story]. To me, this seems unnecessary and undesired, so I must have an incorrect understanding of usage.  Can anyone explain the logic of overwriting the SD in the related story with SDs provided for a related requirement?

Thanks in advance
