Survey trigger not working

Hello All,

Our instance is on Xanadu 8 and have a survey on table project stakeholder with trigger conditions : project is close complete and assessment recipient = yes 

Though the trigger conditions are met, the survey doesn't trigger. Please guide me.

The Project stakeholder table contains "Assessment Recipient" field and that is one of the condition for the trigger.

There must have been something done which we are unable to figure out as the resource who worked on that for our old instances is not with us. This survey works fine on our old instances. We are tying to do the same on our new instances as we will be migrating.

I checked Br, Scriptincludes, UI Action, Table reference qualifiers etc comparing New instance Xanadu we want to migrate vs old working instance that is on Vancouver .

I am see that the  schema map is the same on both.

I tested the survey by modifying the trigger to only have Assessment recipient = yes and removing project.state changes to "closed complete" and this triggers the survey. The moment i readd the state condition it does not trigger the survey.

 

 

 

To me you want to trigger a survey off the record that you want them to take the survey on. For example with an incident the trigger is based on the incident table not on the user table related list of incidents. But since there is no direct field for project stakeholder like there is for caller.

 

Maybe open a case with NowSupport since you stated it worked in a different instance.

I did open a case with NowSupport but that didn't help. I checked the table,ACL,Role,BR etc.. but no luck.

Can you please advise what could be the  issue .

Is it dot walking to project from projectstakeholder to check for project state not working properly? Do we need to configure anything here at table level or script level?

And how can we verify/debug this or any lead on how to check for the dot walking any scripts that might be in place or need to create?

I installed PPM in my PDI and have tried multiple things including creating a database view. I cannot get it to work either.

Hi @CV1 

Can you please share a screen shot of your trigger condition? Also there are two points worth checking

  1. Check if the "trigger randomly" checkbox is checked and check the probability of the trigger. This might be causing the survey to not trigger if the probability is low.
  2. Check the "Repeat Interval" on the trigger condition. This causes the notification to not trigger for the same user twice in the repeat interval.
