Sync vCenter data with ServiceNow CMDB

Hi,

Currently we may not be able to use Discovery.  I was wondering if anyone has used the REST API or other methods to get server information from vCenter and added to ServiceNow.

Hello Dan, 

We method that we use is Horizontal Discovering not REST API our vCenters.  We created a 'vmware' credential. Once our Server Administrators added the credentials to the vCenters we were able to configure ServiceNow. 

We used the product documentation and the community article published by @Sohail Khilji.

Many thanks for the reply - that article and document is very useful.

I am aware of Discovery, but this is not currently something we have.  I was really looking at a solution to use to get this data into our CMDB without discovery currently.
