sysauto_report export issue

We have scheduled auto report set and type is set to excel and when report is generated to email we are getting its an PDF. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue

this KB already addresses your concern and suggests to use admin user

Scheduled email of Reports are sent in wrong file format 

Why are you not using the OOTB "System Administrator" user in Run as field?

It should solve your issue
