I'm going through the learning path training and in the Importing Data section I'm trying to import the historic data into my NeedIt table. When I start to configure the table transform map I go to the (mandatory) Target table field and my table isn't there. This is the first time I've had this issue in the exercises. I created a branch and brought information over and imported the historic data set. Any ideas why the standard NeedIt table isn't showing this time?
Thanks!

when I went to enter the target table (x_#####_needit_needit) and it wasn't in the list. So now I'm stuck and can't seem to figure out what happened and why the NeedIt table is not available.
The x_##### prefix suggests to me that it lives within a scoped application. So, a couple of things:
- check you're in the right scope. If you use the cogwheel top-right to bring up System Settings, under Developer there's an option to show the scope picker in your banner. Pop that on and you can see where you are
- use sys_db_object.list in your Navigation Filter to bring up the list of tables, then search on *needit in the table Name (not Label) to see if the table's there.
I'm hoping that the target table exists but the field for entering it isn't showing up the right information. However, give those a go and we'll take it from there.

Dave!!!! That was it! Turns out I was in the wrong scope. I was able to turn the scope picker on and switch to the NeedIt scope. Then I needed to delete the previously imported data sets that were still linked to the other scope, but after that I was able to smoothly continue with the exercise. I don't know how I landed in the wrong scope, but I'll definitely pay more attention from here out. Thanks again!!!

Good stuff!
You'll find that occasionally you'll get a lot of greyed-out areas in a form because you're in a different scope, and a warning in the annotation bar will prompt you to switch scope - it's possible you did that to switch out. At least having the scope picker helps you see (at a glance) which scope you're currently working in.
Good luck with the rest of your learning, and I hope to see you on one of my Sysadmin courses one day!
(nb: searching for community posts with green ticks is useful to glean snippets of information, since you know they contain the right answer!)

Hi Dave, I'm experiencing the same issue except with the Source Table instead of the Target Table. I tried the solutions you recommended here but was unable to resolve the issue. One, the sys_db_object.list yields no results regardless of which scope I'm in (Global/Needit/Innovate), and two, when I'm in Global scope my Needit target table is not available, but when I'm in Needit scope it is available. Nonetheless, the Source table is not available and so I'm unable to create a transfer map. I appreciate any insight you can share.

Hi @ all, I'm on the learning path for madrid. I finished most of the exercises without having too much trouble. I like to mention that I found it really nice that the lessons and exercises are available alongside the training instance for SNOW. Now, in the lesson of Importing Data I did all the necessary steps - including the "create a branch from a tag" exercise to load all the data that where needed for this lesson.
So I checked with sys_db_object.list that the respective x_<number>_needit_needit table is there in the list (and it is) and I'm also in the right Needit scope (as Dave recommended - checked with picker in the header). But still when I open a dialog for a new transfer map (and I deleted the former imported import set and loaded it newly as earlier mentioned here in this blog) I get the Global scope under Application on that mask and I do not get the right target table in the list of tables (x_<number>_needit_needit)??
(Note:Also I switched back to another scope and it did switch the scope on this mask from global but not for the needit scope!)
I appreciate any help on that.
Cheers,
Jonathan
