Being part of the Cloud Dimensions CMDB implementation team, using CI Class Manager, you are tasked to update the Windows Server (cmdb_ci_win_server) class with a static reconciliation rule that achieves the following:
- Windows Server record in CMDB with discovery source LANDesk CAN be updated by discovery source ServiceNow
- Windows Server record in CMDB with discovery source ServiceNow CANNOT be updated by discovery source LANDesk
I was doing this task but unable to complete it even i have created reconciliation rule . following are the images which i have created task .

Hi @rangnath_12 ,
You have to create a single Reconciliation rule which will cover both scenarios:

- Open CI Class Manager
- Go to Configuration → CI Class Manager → cmdb_ci_win_server
- Click Manage Rules → Reconciliation Rules
- Create or Edit Rule
- Name: Windows Server – ServiceNow vs LANDesk
- Applies to: cmdb_ci_win_server
- Apply to: All Attributes
- Active: ✔️
- Set Data Source Priority
- Priority 1: ServiceNow (can update LANDesk data)
- Priority 2: LANDesk (cannot update ServiceNow data)
- Check Conditions
- No unnecessary conditions — apply to all Windows Server records.
- Verify Discovery Source
- Ensure CI records have correct discovery_source values (ServiceNow or LANDesk).
- Test
- LANDesk → can be updated by ServiceNow.
- ServiceNow → not updated by LANDesk.
Create one rule with both data sources, set “Apply All Attributes,” and keep ServiceNow at higher priority.
