The subflows not working on older records despite the conditions being met

A subflow has recently been created that gets triggered for the new records created but for older ones (that were there even before the sub-flow was created) despite the conditions being met the subflow isn't getting triggered.

Any possible explanations ?

As per your statement 'A subflow has recently been created that gets triggered for the new records created' the subflow will trigger when record are created why would it trigger for old records. For old record only update will work. have you made the subflow for working on update as well?
