I am attempting to access the desktop version of ServiceNow on an IPhone (Safari, IOS 8). No matter what, it defaults to the mobile site. I've followed the directions found on the Using the Legacy Mobile UI Using the Legacy Mobile UI - ServiceNow Wiki
but when I click on the gear button on the top of the mobile home page, there is no option to select Desktop version. I've even had Safari "Request Desktop Site" but it still shows the mobile one. I even read at Tablet Support - ServiceNow Wiki and still nothing seemed to help.
I've tried the ServiceNow App from the Apple App store and the same problem happens.
Could anyone please help me access the desktop version of ServiceNow on an Iphone? Thanks!

Same with Samsung Galaxy S5 in Eureka and in Fuji.
Was able to on a Droid Razr Maxx in Dublin.

Yes, it is pretty frustrating. Especially when I can get a desktop view on an IPad Air, but not on a IPhone 6.

To use desktop mode on a mobile browser you need to force tablet mode, if your servicenow installation and device supports it, then switch to desktop mode.
Change from mobile mode to tablet mode by replacing $m.do at the end of your servicenow URL with $tablet.do. Then, select the preferences gear icon in the top right corner and choose Switch to Desktop.
To switch back to mobile mode add $m.do back to the end of your servicenow URL (or $tablet.do for tablet mode).
This worked for me in Safari on iOS 9. My iPhone did not properly load tablet mode but I was still able to use it to Switch to Desktop. YMMV
