Hi @Shafna please find below answer
Using Outage in Problem Management we can track and manage the outages related to a particular problem. It helps in managing and reducing the impact of problems on the business services and helps to view all the outages associated with the problem record.
When you create an outage, you specify the CI that is affected by mapping the start time, end time, and the duration of the outage and then the outage record get's linked to the problem record. This allows for easy tracking and management of the outage and helps in understanding the impact of the problem on various CIs and services.

Hi @Shafna
You can check the links shared by @Harish KM @AndersBGS
but as outage means, when you want to either degrade or un-planned or planned some work on C and that CI may impact user too. Outage play a vital role to Service commitments calculation.
