Hey guys,
I found this interesting article about IRE https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0750386 that explain to manage CI is recommended to use IRE CMDB API.
But, I got confused because in other post about best practices to integrate https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-forum/need-advice-on-integration-using-rest-api-best-... reference this video https://john-james-andersen.com/blog/service-now/integration-best-practices-inbound-web-services.htm... that explain for write operations is the best practice is use Web Service Import Set (so, create inbound web service for us). I saw that the video is a little old (2014), but the post that mention it is from 2021.
I'm wondering if the indicated in the video is valid only for other entities, like incidents, and for CI is recommended to use direct web services provided by you.
