User cannot inherit the Group Roles

Hi All,

We have 2 groups (Group A and Group B) with "sn_hr_core.basic" role. User1 is member of these 2 groups. 

But upon testing, when we remove the "sn_hr_core.basic" role of Group A, the sn_hr_core.basic role of the user was also removed, even though she is still a member of Group B) with "sn_hr_core.basic" role.

Is this an expected behavior? Thanks.

Yes, it's an expected behavior.

Remove the user from both the groups and add the user again to the group where you the user to be part of.

Yes, this is expected behavior. Because the Role is part of the group. In simple terms role is child of the group. Role exists because Group is there with respect to a user profile. 

So, if you are removing the group itself, role will automatically be removed. 

You need to either add that role manually or add him to some other group which has this role to get it again.
