User provisioning with Okta not populating the department field

Hi All,

We are standing up a brand new instance of ServiceNow and we are using Okta for SSO, MFA, and provisioning.

Okta is successfully feeding ServiceNow values like first name, last name, title, etc. however ServiceNow cannot seem to display the department field.

We noticed:
* ServiceNow, out of the box, has a predefined list of departments (see screenshot)
* If someone's department in Okta matches one of the departments in ServiceNow, the user profile is updated properly with the deparment
* Example, if someone's department is "IT", their profile is updated with the department of "IT"
* Example2, if someone's department is "IT Security", their profile is not updated with the department value of "IT Security" but if I manually add "IT Security" to the department table and rerun the Okta sync, their profile updates

Question:
* How do we automatically have Okta update departments without having to manually import department values into the department database?

If you users are provision from OKTA below is the response (Check with your OKTA Team)

After working with Okta support a confirm at this time this is not possible.
