Lite."This allows people to log incidents and problems against configuration items rather than hierarchical category/type/item lists. Having direct access to configuration item relationships provides insight into the impact and potential root cause of an incident or problem and improves change planning. The CMDB has also allowed the IT department to move away from the asset database it was maintaining in Lotus Notes.
