Hello, I'm trying to debug the Technical Catalog that is available OOB in order to find an error in a custom catalog that has been set up the same way in my company. I'm stuck on trying to figure out where the value of the sys_id preference in the sys_portal_preferences table comes from. I suspect this is my problem, but since I don't know where it comes from I'm at a loss on how to fix it.
Does anyone know how this preference is used or what it is for? I found a post where someone said the sys_portal_preference is "nothing but the setting for that homepage" but this doesn't make sense since we don't use homepages and it doesn't explain what the sys_id preference is supposed to point to.
This is how I've navigated to get to the Portal Preferences, I've figured out the other values but this one has me stumped. Here's how I got there:
1. Service Catalog > Catalog Definitions > Maintain Catalogs > selected Technical Catalog
2. Clicked the Portal Page "catalog_technical_catalog" on the Catalog Portal Pages related list.
3. Clicked the Portal "dropzone1" in the Portal related list.
4. Once dropzone1 is opened, there is a sys_id preference with a value. That same value is used in the title preference (&sys_param=d67c446ec0a80165000335aa37eafbc1)
