What is an Portal Page in Service Now ?

Hi,
I was researching something related to Dashboards and I saw this called Portal Page. I tried to find some documents related but only found Service Portal documents. Does anyone find any document related ?

The Portal Page I'm referring is "sys_portal_page" table in the system, to be more specific these portal pages appear to be used in Dashboard tabs, in my instance there are default dashboards which are using these Dashboard tabs and inside these dashboard tabs have portal pages. These dashboards are configured hard-coded in the script include so I want to know what is the use of Portal Page inside an dashboard.

Thanks for clarification. 

There are 2 things

 Simple Dashboard - Which we can get from the Reporting and Dashboard module .

2nd which you told is about PA page (performance Analytics)  , which is available on PA dashbord.

So what I recommend, try to do PA training from Now learning , which tell you you how PA dashboard has been built up.
