You could replace the field in question with an HTML field. Depending on the field that could be a very, very bad idea, though. I can't even imagine the work involved in uncouple additional comments from incident and replacing it with a new field. But if it's already a custom application, that would be your best bet. But what's wrong with the code blocks?
