When does a repeating flow first run?

I want to create a flow that runs ever two weeks. Fortnightly isn't currently an option. So I figured I'd go for every 14 days.

However I've no idea when the flow will first trigger.

Does anyone know how that works? When the first execution will be?

Thanks.

Hi,

A repeating Flow triggers from the moment you activate it.

Then it waits the given time until next execution.

So if you want the flow to start it's first run on a specific day/time, you need to activate/install/commit it on that specific time/day.

Got to throw this out there, I started the flow at a specific time with a 14 day repeat, but it didn't trigger at that time.. I don't know if this was because I was editing a flow or some other reason. I'll let you know what happens in 14 days though...

Interesting.

When I tested it, that's how it behaved.

But what do you mean by "started the flow" ? It can't be started if you are still editing it?

Or did you mean to republish a newer version, I haven't tried that scenario.

By started, I should have said, "Executed."

I set the flow up date based first until I reached the time I wanted to run for the first time (last Friday at 11). At that time I changed it to "repeat", put it at 14 day interval and activated it. It didn't run so assume it'll run for the first time a week on Friday.
