Hi all,
1) Which is the minimum role required for approvers to approve standard changes in each distinct phase or request items/catalog items?
2) Do all the members belonging to the CAB approval group need any role to approve?

itil user has always been able to approve requests, change reuqests.
Any user, regardless of role, is allowed to approve via email.
I think the only people needing the approver_user role are those who need to approve via the full client interface but do not already have a role.
However, in all cases one should check with one's account rep. There's a vast number of unique arrangements out there.
Regards,
Sachin

I am suspecting there will be issue in your business rules code in which you trying to access object and it's not available
For example , your script should be looking for Approvals for the RITM not the REQ (NOT current.request but current.sys_id)
- if (gr.get('sysapproval', current.sys_id)){

With the role 'approver_admin', they manage to approve but they actually don't know what they are going to approve, because if they try to open the record they don't find it.

In Madrid, any approver requires the approver_user role regardless of the interface they provide their approval - email, or self-service portal.

How did you obtain this information? Approvals via email have not been part of licensing since inception. It's part of the base platform license.
