We have EOL MID Server in our instance.

NOW we have installed a new MID Server with is Cloud Basis

Now Both (Old and New MID Server) is Showing UP and Active in ServiceNow Instance.

What Test is Required after the New MID Server Installation?

What to Do with Old MID Server ?

Can we have both Server Active at Same time ?

How to ensure that everything is fine after new MID Server Installation?

Do i need to update the MID Server entry in all LDAP Servers ?

Yes, replace old MID name with new MID on all such places.

Make a list and change one-by-one after reviewing result. Do not rush to change all at same time.

Hi @Anuj30 

You need to list down all your activities which are dependent on MID Server. Change the configuration as per new MID server and see are you getting the expected results or not. This is the only way to test and start from dev - test - prod.

you can check the updated by field , this will usually be the mid server user name. if it is so then the mid server has updated the date and you can confirm that mid server has updated it via discovery (refer discovery source field too)

What to Do with Old MID Server ? Keep it alive if the business dont mind it. It my be useful for your future integration or loadbalancing.

Can we have both Server Active at Same time ? Yes , you can use the old one for later use.

How to ensure that everything is fine after new MID Server Installation? if it shows Green light and active and no error on the form header. this means your all good with mid server.
