while creating a report ,assignment group field is showing inactive groups and assigned also.
Tried keeping ref qual for both field as active true but still it is showing both active and inactive .

Are you talking about filter conditions?
If you are an admin you will be able to see the inactive users as well as the inactive groups even though you have query business rules, but if you are non admin, you will not be able to see inactive user or groups, this is expected behavior.

Hi @sravya03 ,
If you would like to filter out the assignment groups that are inactive, you can do that through filter conditions.
Also, please not that a reference qualifier and a report through report designer is two different things, so you must not relate them to each other.
