Good morning, I am trying to understand what dictates when/how data fields are visible to me when viewing a specific record. I think this is called 'form view'. The problem starts when I generate a list view and I observe a column of data but I cannot find that particular data element when I open the respective record.
The List View indicates a data element exists for 'Taste' but when I open these records the 'Taste' field is not visible to me. WHY AND HOW??????????????????????
Thing | Smell | Taste |
Thing 1 | Strong | Sweet |
Thing 2 | Faint | Bitter |
Thing 3 | None | Salty |
I want to make a data field visible to me on the record and not only on list view.
Thanks,
A

Hi @un2us ,
Its very simple concept, if the "Taste" configured in form view to display the user then it will show to you else it wont.
In list view you can personalize your list but not in form.
2nd, May be "Taste" field are present on form and not visible to you it means Access rule are applied to hide for certain user.

So when I click on Thing 1, a record comes up and shows me:
Name: Thing 1
Smell: Strong
How do I reveal 'Taste' on the form view?

Hi @un2us ,
Right click on the banner of the form and select form design:
in here you will see all the columns available on the table --> add taste to the form view.
