Will data be lost after an Upgrade Instance?

Hello All,Please help me I'm a begineer of servicenow developer.

I'm curretly looking to upgrade from a Rome environment to Sandiego environment.

However,I'm concerned that the data(report,Incident, case, script include,,etc)that I've created so far in the Rome environment will be lost.

Will those not be lost after the upgrade?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, an upgrade does not overwrite 'data' or customized code, it simply replaces uncustomed functionality with the latest version of the relevant record (IE script, policy etc) and deploys new functionality to the instance.
