Workflow with approval from two different groups?

Hi, I have a workflow where it needs to be approved by one group, then I want to add some comments to the RITM via a script, then have another approval by a different group. However when I tried using the 'Approval - Group' activity for both groups it would automatically approve both after the first one was approved. I was able to get it to work if I first used an 'Approval - User' activity then the 'Approval - Group'. However when I try to use 'Approval - User' then a 'Run Script' activity, then a 'Approval - Group', it auto approves the user and group after the first is approved. Any ideas how to get the functionality I am looking for?
