Example
- Department A has 80 desks, Department B has 40 desks, Total floor area = 480 sqm
Total desks on the floor = 80 + 40 = 120 desks
Department A's allocated area:
80 / 120 × 480 sqm = 320 sqm
Department B's allocated area:
40 / 120 × 480 sqm = 160 sqm
Formula
Cost Allocation Area = (Number of desks assigned to the department ÷ Total number of desks on the floor) × Total Floor Area
Where:
- Number of desks assigned to the department comes from the department-to-location mapping table.
- Total number of desks on the floor is calculated by counting all space records on that floor where Space Type = "Workspace/Desk".
