Hello @laurenmcman ,

Question 1:
How well did Developer Passport help you understand what's coming in the Australia release and how to use it? Which product are you focusing on most?

Answer:
Developer Passport was extremely helpful in understanding what’s coming in the Australia release and how to make the most of the new capabilities. The structured learning path, hands-on exercises, and release highlights provided clear insights into the new features, enhancements, and best practices. It helped me identify which areas of the platform will have the biggest impact on my work and how to prepare for them effectively.

I’m primarily focusing on Flow Designer and Automation Engine, as they play a key role in improving process efficiency and integrating with other systems. I’m also keeping a close eye on Next Experience UI updates and AI/ML capabilities, since they offer great opportunities to enhance user experience and deliver smarter workflows.

Question 2:
How do you prefer to learn and get help when building in ServiceNow, and how can the Community better support you?

Answer:
I prefer to learn and get help through a combination of hands-on practice, official documentation, and interactive community engagement. I find that experimenting directly in a personal developer instance helps reinforce concepts, while detailed articles and videos from ServiceNow provide the technical depth I need. When I encounter challenges, I turn to the ServiceNow Community to see real-world examples, best practices, and discussions from other developers and experts.

To better support builders like me, the Community could:

  • Highlight step-by-step solution guides and use-case-based examples for common development scenarios.
  • Encourage more interactive learning opportunities, such as live Q&A sessions and webinars.
  • Improve search and tagging so it’s easier to find relevant posts and verified answers.
  • Foster more collaboration between product teams and community members, ensuring early insights into new features and release updates.

Overall, I value learning that’s practical, collaborative, and directly tied to real ServiceNow development challenges.

Thanks,
SP

Answer 1:
The Developer Passport helped provide a clear overview of the features and enhancements included in the Australia release and how they could be applied in real development scenarios. It was useful for understanding upcoming capabilities, release highlights, and practical guidance on implementation. The structured content made it easier to connect new platform features with ITSM and security use cases.

Answer 2:
I prefer learning through a combination of hands-on labs, real-time examples, and step-by-step documentation .
Practical exercises in a developer instance help reinforce concepts much more effectively than theory alone.
I also find community discussions, knowledge articles, and solution examples very helpful when troubleshooting or exploring best practices.

Learning Something new each and everyday.

The community could better support developers by:
Providing more practical implementation guides and architecture examples.
Sharing common troubleshooting scenarios and solutions for ITSM and security workflows.
Maintaining organized discussion threads and curated resources for frequently asked development questions.

Question 1: How well did Developer Passport help you understand what's coming in the Australia release and how to use it? Which product are you focusing on most?

Answer: Really like this approach—one discovery session per major feature, live‑streamed, helps to  adopt and better understand the value behind each capability. Having a real‑time Q&A chat is also extremely useful for interaction and clarification.
I’m currently focusing on Playbooks and Agent Studio.

Question 2: How do you prefer to learn and get help when building in ServiceNow, and how can the Community better support you?

Answer: I try to learn through a mix of community content, blogs, posts, podcasts, and videos. I don’t think there’s a single “right” or “wrong” way to do it—it really depends on what learning format you feel most comfortable with. But I'll recommend to visit different sites to have a full picture

How well did Developer Passport help you understand what's coming in the Australia release and how to use it? Which product are you focusing on most?  I have struggled in the past to find information related to the new releases.  This is definitely going to help me find all of the new great things that are coming.  I have added all of the information to my calendar and subscribed to the channel.

How do you prefer to learn and get help when building in ServiceNow, and how can the Community better support you? My main preference is the webinar format to be able to see the actual updates.  Although I can find a lot of the information in the blogs/communities sometimes searching for the exact topic is difficult.

Good Morning,

Question 1:  The Developer Passport was very informative in showing what is coming in the Australia release.  We will be upgrading from Yokohama.  I love the product specific livestreams with the team that developed them.  It is a great resource to use in addition to the release notes.

Question 2:  I would love to see additional content on CWM as Agile 2.0 which contains the stories that we depend upon to do our development work is being retired.  I prefer videos and PDFs laying out what is new and how to migrate from what we are using today.

Thanks,

Answer 1:

Developer Passport made it much easier for me to understand what’s coming in the Australia release. Instead of going through long release notes on my own, the sessions explained the updates in a simple and practical way, which helped me see how the changes would actually affect day-to-day development work. I especially liked how the features were shown with real examples and demos — that always makes learning faster.

Answer 2:

I learn best by doing things hands-on. I usually start with documentation to understand the basics, then I try it myself in a Personal Developer Instance. If I get stuck, I check Community discussions to see how others solved similar problems — real examples always help me understand better.

To make learning even better, the Community could provide more step-by-step guides for real use cases, short video walkthroughs for complex topics, and better tagging so it’s easier to find the right answers quickly. Interactive sessions like live Q&As and release deep-dives are also very helpful for practical learning.

Please share any addtional feedback you have about this new format for release content (i.e. product-specific livestreams with members from the team that helped create them).

I like the new format especially since they are available live.  Very easy to focus on this new EA release.

Question 2:

Using the AI in the new DOCs, playbooks look like we could really apply them in our instances, and any hands on solutions and recommendations from all of these experienced developers.

Answer 1:

The Developer Passport was very helpful in understanding what’s coming in the Australia release. The live product‑specific sessions with ServiceNow experts made new features clearer and easier to apply, and the focus on using a Personal Developer Instance gave hands‑on experience with the enhancements. The new format—short, targeted livestreams led by the actual product teams—felt engaging, practical, and far more useful than standard release notes.

Answer 2:
I’d like more follow‑up content for App Engine, Flow Designer/IntegrationHub, UI Builder, Automation Engine, and CSDM/CMDB improvements. My preferred formats are short videos, hands‑on examples for PDI, and concise blogs or cheat‑sheet PDFs.
