Integrations in CSDM Framework

Where do you manage integrations in the CSDM framework?  As application services?  As information objects?  Or do you manage them as CIs?  I've looked at various documentation and community posts, but I haven't seen a clear answer.

At this moment, you can document the "design" aspects of an integration within the APM - Digital Integration Management module (Store release - February 2023). 

Between the lines you can read/listen in the recording Louis shared that there're plans (safe harbour !) to also allow to document operational aspects of an integration.

Question back to you: what is your use case to store integration information in the ServiceNow platform ?

I am still hoping to see some official guide from ServiceNow.

Depending on your goal. There is an interface object in the design area for APM customers, but this caters to strategic use cases.

If you are looking for a more operational approach. Then I would suggest working with the application service. We essentially treated each integration as a module of our integration platform and linked it with each sender /recipient.

Some pitfalls with this are identifying the relationships between sender and receiver, maintaining the information and ensuring your dependency map is not completely destroyed by too much information.

When looking at the APM Module "Digital Integrations" it defines integrations between business applications using the CI Mapping type of "interfaces"  I don't know if this is the official recommendation from ServiceNow but I've noticed that APM tends to suggest preferred mappings.
