Employee Service Center Topics in menu dropdown

I want my custom topics to be visible in Employee center portal just like "Hardware" is visible.

How Hardware is visible -

I have created a custom topic Hardware1

I have added "active" child topics and active "connected content" to it as well

I have also marked "Topic based navigation" to true, and everything is in "Employee experience taxonomy" scope.

I have also given orders and tried other ways, but the child topic is still not visible, like hardware is visible, I want hardware1 to be visible there as well.

I am unable to understand what I am missing, any insights will be appreciated. Thank you so much !!

Shivalika

Hi @Shivalika
Have you tried logging out and logging back in, or impersonating another user (ITIL)?

I just tried this in my PDI. It;s working fine.

Thank you so much for the detailed reponse @J Siva

I have done all these things, as also shared by me in question screenshots, let me share here again. But the thing is even "OOB Child topics like Printer, COmputers - these are not visible under Hardware" I am not sure if mistakenly I have changed something or what.

Hello @Shivalika ,

This resolved my issue, worth a try before refreshing the plugin.

If using newer release, mind checking if the Taxonomies are in sync with the Advanced Portal Navigation.

All -> Advanced portal Navigation -> Click on 'true' to get into menu for sync.

Click 'Sync Hierarchy'

Similarly repeat for the Menu item topics like "Technology services" to bring in any new topics or menu items added under the currently selected topic or menu item respectively.

Newly synced items are inactive by default. You can activate and make edits to them after the sync is complete.

Hello @Shivalika ,

Check if the Taxonomies are updated with this new topic i.e. hardware1 in your case.

Go to "All" -> Content Taxonomy -> Taxonomies

Open the "Employee" Taxonomy

Shree_G_0-1744704031141.png

Under Employee taxonomy you'll have Child Topics related to it.

Make sure your topic "Hardware1" is listed in the Child Topics of the Topic "Technology Services":

If not, Make sure you have details updated in the topic.

Hello @Shree_G

I have already shared screenshot in my question itself, that both hardware and hardware1 are attached in the child topics by me. Refer the screenshots.
