Is there a view to see capacity of resources prior to requesting a resource plan?

There is a request from the business to show available resources and their capacity before confirming a resource plan. The current OOB process for viewing resource capacity can only be done through the Allocation workbench and then clicking on Resource Finder, which is a bit clunky. I would like to know if there is a plugin or workspace that supports this functionality otherwise we may need to build a custom one. Thank you in advance.

I am afraid you will need to build something custom. It's is meant to request resources and fulfill that need, not to look at the capacity and fill up that capacity. It's setup to get the work done, not to keep people working. I do understand the need, but the clunky way is, as far as I know, the only way at this moment.
