Mega menu is empty after cloning

Hi community,

I have been going round in circles trying to work out why my mega menu is not populating with topics in my PDI after cloning - it stays plain blue now.

I did all steps as advised: cloned taxonomy (in Empl. taxonomy experience scope), associated it, connected content (from demo data) and yet it is empty still. Disactivated other taxonomies. Cleared cache, logged out ect. still empty. Checked resources for answer and still cant find what might be causing this.

Also find a bit confusing on scopes in regards to this, as there is no clear guidance (for example I followed instructions to clone in Empl. taxonomy exp scope but also watched an instruction video where it was done in Global?)

Can anyone advise please where my issue with mega menu might be

Thanks!

For my case, I found the solution, there are 2 ways to configure the mega menu, one is by the mega menu record itself, related to the portal and the other by the Advanced Portal Navigation, if the APN is active, you have to configure it on that side. In my case it seems that the system activated the APN without me knowing it, when I deactivated it, I could already see the Mega Menu as it is in the Taxonomy. You can activate and deactivate. You can activate and deactivate the APN to see if it works for you.

I have the same problem and also tried the above, did you find a solution? @Alt30

No, Edmundo. Unfortunately, this has not been resolved. 😫I still cant figure out what is wrong as I checked and rechecked. I followed all instructions when cloning taxonomy in my PDI, but it still stays plain blue, topics are not showing up... I was wondering if anyone has a possible explanation or had the same thing but resolved?

Thanks for the answer, the same thing happens to me in my PDI instance and in a customer test, I have not found the solution either, I think it may be a ticket in support.

Thanks so much, Edmundo! 👏This indeed instantly brought all configured topics to mega menu! Just simply setting APN portal to false. that's it! Not sure why is this and what is the logic there. Perhaps someone from community can explain are the right steps to set up topics the right way without encountering this frustrating issue that took so long to figure out! Once again, thanks so much for following up with me and hopefully it would help anyone else who might search for the solution to this issue!
