Glad you found the slides. Let me know if you have any questions. Just curious, did you get a chance to attend the presentation? What parts did you find most relevant/helpful to what you're working on today?

Hi Michael,
I apologize for the late reply - I am just seeing this now.
Thanks, yes I did see the presentation by you and Brian at K17 and thanks for posting the slides.
What I found most relevant to what I am working on is our CMDB/Discovery/Service Mapping investment.
The presentation provides ideas about further leveraging discovery etc. (inventory) data to meet another business need - EA. This demonstrates incremental value in purposing CMDB data in the context of EA leading to information and knowledge creation.
The questions are relevant and thought provoking, such as:
How do we prioritize demand based on resource availability?
When will new capability be available?
How many applications do we have and what do they support? (or how many CI resources are used by which applications)
What is compliant with current EA standards? (that's a plugin - Architecture Compliance)
What is the potential impact of upgrading server xyz?
How do we prioritize incidents?
How to make reference architectural knowledge codifiable, teachable, and systemic across the organization.
Also good clarity on the alignment between managing the IT business, IT Service Management and IT Operations Management
The challenge is in orchestrating people, process and technology. From a technology perspective, it would take some customization to operationalize what you have shown on the platform it seems, unless there is an EA module that I am not aware of?
Thanks for the useful presentation - I have started circulating internally with our EA / Inventory folks for consideration.
Take care,
Jeff
