Abstract:
USAA has thousands of frontend engineers that are familiar with utilizing industry leading tools to develop web applications, so we have developed a command line interface (CLI) that bridges these tools with ServiceNow while providing additional benefits such as project structure hoisting, localized development server, automated deployment, and component template generation (portal widget, ui script, etc..). The tool also allows the utilization of the latest JavaScript standards (ES2015) and module development/distribution through NPM. We have experience great success with the tooling we have built and would like to share with the ServiceNow developer community.
