Hi there! I am wondering if there is any way to integrate the Employee Center with Teams without the Virtual Agent chat tab? Several of our customers would see a lot of value in this! Great updates in Rome.

Yes, you can do that. You have one manual step involved as this is not a frequent ask.
Follow our setup document to Authorize 'Tab SSO' -
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-employee-service-management/page/product/sn-teams/task/authorize-multi-tenant-apps.html .
Follow - https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-employee-service-management/page/product/sn-teams/task/download-manifest-file.html with enable Tabs.
In step 2, open the content of the zip, you will find a manifest.json file. In it remove the lines in screenshot in attachment and save the file. zip back by selecting the 3 files. Do note that zipping the folder instead of files, results in error on Microsoft side.
Your Teams App should now be set with the Tab and not the chat. If you wish to still see VA chat in the Employee Centre portal check this page - https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-employee-service-management/page/product/sn-teams/task/disable-chat-button-teams-custom-portal.html . We ship a style sheet to hide the chat in Portal when used in context of Teams. Remove the style pointed there.

Thanks a lot Allison, for having all this consolidated for everyone's easy access, really appreciate it.
I have one question by the way, which I could not find answer to - and also an issue I am facing at this stage -
After we clone a taxonomy and try modifying it to suit organization needs, is it possible to de-link/ unassociate a topic from the taxonomy. There is no Edit option (only "New"), we can only modify the details of already associated topics, like name, description etc, but seems it cannot unassociated.
The alternate option I could find was to open the record and delete it, as even setting Active to "false" doesn't help. However, the bigger problem is even after having done this all, the topic still appears on the employee center.?
I am looking to remove "Risk & Compliance" from here, I did above alternate steps, but surprisingly, i can still see the Risk and Compliance coming up on my ec.
Also, other issue I am facing right now is the "HR" is also setup as a child topic under my taxonomy, however it doesn't appear on my EC.
Can you help on this please.
Regards,
Sagar

The Lab Links no longer work - they take you into https://developer.servicenow.com homepage. Are there updated lab links?
