Global Search box issue

Hi Community,

 

A interesting case where your help will be much appreciated.

 

In the global search box when i try to search for a ticket - it is able to detect the ticket, and shows me in the dropdown as well about that ticket..but when I hit enter button or click on that ticket dropdown result ServiceNow doesn't take me to that ticket.

 

I have to today always click on "View Result" hyperlink at the end of the search result drop down to go to results page and then select the record to open.

Step 1 - Open any workspace

Step 2 - Click on Global Searchbox

Step 3 - Search for any record using a keyword example record number.

Step 4 - Wait for the search drop down to populate with results.

Step 5 - Once results are loaded try to hit enter button on your keyboard...if nothing happens proceed to step 6.

Step 6 - Try to click on the result shown in the search result drop down. Even here you will notice that it doesn't works.
