How to Boost an article for NLU/AI search

Hi

I need some information about that How to Boost an article for NLU/AI search in the portal

i have checked some of the articles but can anyone give me the detailed information on this like ServiceNow documents or articles refereed to this problem

Hi @sri vijaya , Please check below:-


 1. Use the “Search Boost” Field in Article Form

  • Field: Search boost

  • Values: None, Low, Medium, High

  • Location: In Knowledge Article form, this field is available once AI Search is active.

 

 2. Make Sure AI Search Is Enabled

  • Plugin: AI Search (com.glide.platform_ai_search)

  • Go to: AI Search > Indexed Sources

    • Ensure Knowledge [kb_knowledge] is selected

    • Re-index if needed


 3. Index and Prioritize the Right Knowledge Base

  • If multiple KBs are present, use AI Search > Indexed Sources to:

    • Set article-level boosting via the Search boost

    • Use dynamic boosting only if needed (custom)


 4. NLU Optimization – Link Topics to Articles

  • In Virtual Agent or Agent Assist, articles are boosted when they are linked to NLU Topics or Search Intents.

  • You can also:

    • Train custom NLU models

    • Use topic suggestions

    • Map articles manually to intents


5. Use Keywords and Meta Data Wisely

  • Add strong keywords, summary, and tags that reflect what users actually search for.

  • These help in query expansion and intent recognition.
