HR Workday integration

Hello there,

I have a question regarding HR workday-servicenow integration. I want to get the worker's employement start date after long leaves and update the same in HR Profile. But my confusion lies in the usage of APIs. Should i BE USING SOAP where we have get_worker api and action like lookup worker and utilise this but downside would be the complex xml response that i would be receiving and consume it. OR to use REST API whewe dont have much spoke present and one need to create report in workday in order get the response and i am not sure which api would we use(does get_worker works in REST?)  but its simpler and easy to use .

I would appreciate if no one give answer based on AI as I have already explored but someone who has good knowledge in this area.

what's the current setup? if it's REST then use that.

If SOAP then use that
