Hi everyone,
We are trying to figure out a solution to delivery training content via ServiceNow. We have come-up with few options but would be interested if there is anyone that has done something similar and would like to share their experience and approach.
Currently, we are thinking about either:
1. Integrate ServiceNow with another LMS tool, use the LMS tool for content hosting, create a custom app for content delivery in ServiceNow (and HRSD ESC portal). Have anyone done something similar? What LMS tool did you integration? What integration method does it support?
2. Leverage Knowledge Management to host training content, create a custom app for content delivery, content management in ServiceNow. The challenge here would be some of our legacy training files have different formats that SN might not support (ex. SCORM and ppt etc.) I knew there are partners out there might have already done that, but the cost is driving us toward potential in-house development. Have anyone done this before? What are your major challenges when developing this application?
Thank you!
Kevin

I would look into IntegrationHub if you are looking to integrate another LMS tool. I have not had much experience on the subject but looking into that would provide a good starting point and help you decide whether to start serious development on a custom app.
There also is a company known as PlatCore which is a partner of ServiceNow. I would look into that as well.

Hi Kevin,
I work for PlatCore, a Learning Management System built natively in ServiceNow. We created our LMS for this exact scenario, and we would love to help if possible! For several of our customers, we have rescued in-house (or consultant) development efforts once they have started to get into the details.
We would love the opportunity to discuss with you further,
Lauren
