hi community,

I'm working with the HRSD product and was wondering if there's a recommended sequence for installing HRSD apps into the PDI?

Best,
VY

Hello @VadimJ

If it's PDI, the first ever app is Human Resource Core.

followed by Human Resource Integrations, Human Resource Life Cycle events, Mobile app and Employee Center (if you are looking for seperate portal).

You can also follow success packs for HRSD implementation

Please mark the answer as helpful and correct if helped.

Kind Regards,

hey Ravi, thanks for your comment

I should have provided more context: I'm asking if there's a best practice sequence for installing HRSD apps or plugins. Specifically- is there an ideal order to ensure everything related to HR is fully installed and are there any sequences to avoid? The goal is to minimize any issues during installation making it easier for developers, BAs and implementers to work with HRSD and the portal seamlessly for self-educating purposes.

The reason I'm asking is for situations where you have beginners learning the HR product. For example, if they want to use the onboarding demo catalog item, they would want to see how everything works without wasting time figuring out why certain parts aren't functioning properly.

I realize this might sound different from the typical learning path for a ServiceNow consultant, but just in case, I was wondering if there's a specific sequence to follow.

The NowCreate assets/links involves extra steps, so I was looking for something simpler—say a list of plugins/apps to install so everything is ready to go..

For example:

  1. Human Resources Scoped App
  2. HR Seismic Components
  3. Case and Knowledge Management
  4. Employee Document Management
  5. Employee Relations
  6. Human Resources Scoped App: Lifecycle Events for Enterprise
  7. Performance Analytics for HR
  8. Platform Core HR and so on...
