The CIO's role is continuing to evolve outside of traditional IT responsibilities, and IT departments are poised to make a broader impact on the organization's success — across sales, marketing, HR, legal, finance and more. CIOs are increasingly freeing themselves from the day-to-day operational tasks, with 38% now spending at least half of their time on strategic activities, according to a recent survey from Logicalis.

As IT leaders work to streamline business processes, improve employee productivity, and help the organization reach its broad business goals, how will IT leaders set their agenda for 2016?

During our next #StateofWork Chat, we'll discuss how the role of the CIO will evolve into becoming more "service-oriented" in 2016, and how this necessary evolution will lead IT teams to focus on improving efficiency — not just within IT, but across the organization.
