The Express List is a capability released at the same time as Utah, though you might not have spotted it. It's a slightly unusual one.
Express List is available from the ServiceNow store, and has been released out of the Innovation Lab and as such, it is not an officially supported product.
It's free to download, although as will become clear, it's of no use if you're not already using, or are planning to use the ITOM Event Management capabilities of the platform.
So what is it?
It's a new component enabled in the Service Operations Workspace. A new, and particularly fancy, way of viewing the list of ITOM alerts on the platform. It looks like this:-
The reason I find it so interesting and so useful is because unlike normal lists of records in either UI16 or workspace, the Express List is designed to be able to react to significant sets of data that are fast moving.
First, it performs live updates as alerts change state, new ones come in, etc. You can pause that of course. Or choose what window in time you want to see using either pre-sets or a custom date range.
Second, the list of alerts infinitely scrolls, so you don't need to keep page refreshing. Also cutting down on the refreshing of pages manually - is the dynamic filter.
And you can get to further detail included in the alert, like its additional info, without clicking away or opening a new tab.
If you are already using event management, you really should install the express list and give it a whirl.
