We’re excited to announce an important change in how we deliver implementation guidance and resources to our teams and customers. On December 5th, the Now Create portal will be retired and replaced by the new Best Practices site—a unified destination for all ServiceNow implementation best practices.

👉 Please update your bookmarks and use the following link to access Best Practices:
https://mynow.servicenow.com/now/best-practices/home

1. What is Best Practices?

  • Best Practices delivers one experience to access a comprehensive overview of guidance to support the customer's ServiceNow journey.
  • Best Practices is a space to access all best practices throughout the customer journey, such as onboarding, implementation, support, security, etc.

2. Why is Best Practices replacing the Now Create portal?

  • Best Practices is replacing the Now Create portal/site; not the Now Create content or methodology.
  • In an effort to create 1experience to access all best practice content, NowCreate content is movingto Best Practices.
  • Overtime, more of our best practice content will move to Best Practices.

3. Why are Best Practices and Now Create live at the same time?

  • Encourage a smooth transition from Now Create to Best Practices
  • Opportunity to provide feedback on what BestPractices needs to be for success
  • Time to download materials needed that may be decommissioned

4. Is any action required for existing Now Create URLs and bookmarks?

  • No! All existing Now Create URLs and bookmarks will automatically redirect to the equivalent pages on the Best Practices portal after December 5th

5. Will there be any enablement on the new portal for our teams?  Other than this communication?  For instance - will navigating to the NowCreate content be intuitive ?

  • Best Practices currently has two videos explaining the methodology and best practices.
  • First time login will have WalkMe explaining the search,  product collections, and success packs.

6. Is there a list of the collateral that’s not moving to Best practices - rather than relying on users to figure out what was pre R2?

  • Yes - please see attached for a list of assets being retired / not migrating to Best Practices
