In my first blog, I introduced you to the most basic way to filter content on Now Learning, using the content filters on the homepage.
This filter is only available to you in this way when you are not signed in. By now, you have most likely signed in and this changes your filtering experience, so I am going to introduce you to some additional ways to find content on Now Learning.
Filtering content from your profile
When you are signed in to your Now Learning profile, our newest courses are featured in the section directly below where your various achievements are highlighted, called “Check out our newest courses”.
The content shown here is a mix of Courses and Learning Paths displayed from the most recently published to the oldest. Check back in this section often to see what is new!
The next section down allows you to filter Learning Paths using the same set of filters you can find on the homepage when you are not logged in: Role, Level, and Product. As a refresher, Learning Paths are one or more trainings that are recommended to be completed in a certain order to achieve a level of mastery.
Use the Role, Level and/or Product filters to narrow down the Learning Paths to find the one that is just right for you.
Filtering content from the search bar
Next, let’s review how to filter content from the search bar. When you select the magnifying glass from the top right of the site header a search menu will expand exposing 5 buttons or ‘pills’ that allow you to interact with a specific type of content.
If you are interested in filtering only Learning Paths, select “Paths”, if you are interested in filtering only Courses, select “Courses”, and so on.
Let’s give it a try. Select “Certifications” to bring back all Certifications that are available for you to see. *NOTE: Depending on your access to content you might see a different number and set of Certifications.
Using the filters, Role, Level and/or Product you can narrow down the Certifications to find one that matches your interest.
This method works for all of the other featured ‘pills’ as well.
